From Our Family to Yours.
Hickey's Greenhouses has been a family operation since day one. Two generations of passion for growing things, rooted right here in Newfoundland and Labrador since 1990. When you visit us, you're not just shopping—you're part of something we've been building for over 35 years.
Owners and Directors
-
Leonard and Elaine Hickey, Founders
Len and Elaine started it all; two teachers with a love of horticulture and a home greenhouse built from recycled materials. What began as a hobby became NL's premier garden centre. Thirty-five years later, their passion for growing things is still at the heart of everything we do.
-
Aaron Hickey, Director of Operations
Aaron grew up in the greenhouse and never really left. He oversees the day-to-day operations across both locations and is a dedicated board member of the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA). He's the reason things run as smoothly as they do.
-
Ashley Hammond, Director of Marketing and Communications
Ashley is part of the Hickey family and tells the Hickey's story across the website, social media, and everything in between. She keeps the community connected to what's growing, what's new, and what's coming next.
Management
-
Patricia Goodyear, Manager (Kelligrews Location)
Pat runs our Kelligrews flagship with a creative eye and a professional florist's touch. She's the person behind our beautiful in-store displays and the magic of Christmas at Hickey's every November.
-
Jenny Houlihan, Manager (Dunville Location)
Jenny oversees our Dunville production hub, where every annual and hanging basket begins its life. Her expertise in cultivation means every plant that leaves Dunville is healthy, strong and ready for a NL garden.
Seasonal Staff
The people who make it happen. Our seasonal team are the backbone of Hickey's. Every spring they show up ready to grow, advise, and make sure every customer leaves with exactly what their garden needs. We're incredibly grateful for the passion and hard work they bring every single season.
We'd love to see you.
Come say hello! We're always happy to answer questions, help you find what you're looking for, or just talk plants.
